A Reminder: “BORN FREE” Musical Slide Presentation
on March 3rd
PANTANAL, BRAZIL June Adventure
**************************************
Thursday evening March 3, 2011, at 6:00 pm, I will be giving my
presentation, “BORN FREE”, at the Lighthouse Point Library in Fletcher
Hall located at 2200 NE 38th St. This 50-minute musical presentation is
comprised of many of my images shown in such publications as Audubon
Magazine, Nature’s Best Magazine, and even the image that hung in the
Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, which is one of my proudest
moments. It is a lighthearted, amusing & somewhat educational
production with a gentle message about what Nature’s gifts have to
offer us absolutely free—at no charge. There is always a message
(whether hidden or blatant) in every scene we see in life. What matters
is how we choose to read those messages & what we do with them in
our lives. For me, my collection of images has shown me one ‘common
thread’; no matter whether we are furry, feathery, scaly, or walk on
two feet or four, swim or fly, we all began life on this earth pretty
much the same—born free. Most of what we see around us are free gifts:
the flowers, the trees, birds, butterflies, blue skies, black skies,
and/or baby’s first step. “Born Free” is my tribute to all those free
gifts, which I want to share with you. My message is that no matter how
hard things get, or bad our economy becomes, or how many oil spills
occur, you have a wonderful source of joy before you absolutely free---at
no charge---if you’ll just stop and look and try to see it My Way! This
production is open to the public at no charge, with an hors d’oeurves
or two. However, seating is limited and it is recommended that you call
the library for a reservation at (954) 946-6398.

PANTANAL, BRAZIL JUNE TOUR: THIS TOUR IS FOR YOU!!! For
ALL OF YOU nature & wildlife lovers, photographers &
non-photographers, pros and amateurs, this tour is my one and only
GUARANTEE in life when it comes to outstanding opportunities to view
unbelievably odd-looking mammals (like the Giant Anteater, or
endangered Tapir--a hog-like mammal related to the rhino family--the
holler monkeys, whose screams send shivers up & down your spine, or
strange-looking yellow armadillos) to name just a few. To see the
rainbow of colors in which our creator dressed so many of the bird
species will make any fashion-conscious soul envious! Of course there
is the human element as the Pantanal is 10 x the size of the
Everglades, with 98% of it being privately-owned ranch land or farm
land (rice), so often we are on a working ranch with real cowboys, and
all the fun opportunities that has to offer…not to mention the fabulous
food. (Have to keep cowboys well-fed!!). As always, I keep my groups
small allowing much more favorable conditions for great success in viewing
and photographing, so space is becoming limited for this June tour.
Please visit my website for the details of costs, dates, etc. and to
see many more images, which should ‘wet your appetite’.

As stated in previous newsletters, at no
obligation to you, send me a “want list” of images you are looking for
that may coincide with a trip I’m about to take, or have recently
taken, and I’ll do my very best to seek out that subject and shoot it
with your request in mind. This may save you some expense, give me a
specific mission and possibly a sale of that image. It’s a ‘win, win
situation’!
A quick reminder that my library of 35mm
original slides houses approximately 75,000 images, and my digital
library presently holds over 100,000 (and growing-hourly)!
