During your adventure travel to Ecuador, we’ll be staying in some amazing lodges that are perfectly situated in areas that are home to many great photographic opportunities, such as a lodge in a 5000 acre private ecological reserve in Ecuadors Amazon region. The rare six-foot giant otter glides through the water as kingfishers fish from above. The prehistoric hoaxtin, or ‘stinky’ turkey, roams the banks, as snail kites, squirrel monkeys & howler monkeys watch from their perches. You might catch a glimpse of a Choco Toucan, Pale-mandibled Aracari or a Choco Trogan! All in all, there are over 1600 species of birds that cruise the airways of Ecuador! That’s 15% of the worlds known species! One-half of the world’s population of beautiful hummingbirds hover here, right next to the 6,000 species of butterflies! 138 species of endemic amphibians & 106 species of endemic reptiles slither & crawl across the more than 25,000 species of plants! These lodges are created ideally for our purpose, with extensive trail systems and balconies that claim 100 species visit their regularly! The staff is accustomed to handling our needs and is familiar with what it takes to get us to the right spot. They are no strangers to early breakfasts, and your passion for the wildlife is matched by theirs!
